MANCHESTER – Two members of the Saint Anselm College football team have been selected to participate in bowl games this month.
Senior wide receiver Kyle Hill will participate in the ninth-annual National Bowl game to be held this Sunday at Daytona Stadium in Daytona Beach, Fla. The game will feature the top student-athletes from non-Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) institutions, showcasing All-American and All-Conference seniors from around the nation.
Senior placekicker Daniel Parisi will compete at the 10th annual 2018 FAF Division II Senior Bowl on Dec. 15 at the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The game will feature NCAA Division II student-athletes along with their counterparts from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
“As a program, we are excited for an opportunity for our student-athletes to continue to chase their dreams and showcase their talents,” St. Anselm coach Joe Adam said. “Kyle and Dan had great senior seasons and we wish them the best as they continue to compete. I’m proud of the men they have become.”
Hill capped a stellar career on the Hilltop with three touchdown receptions, catching 49 passes for 566 total yards. Averaging 62.9 receiving yards per game, Hill ranks ninth in the conference in that statistic. Posting over 130 all-purpose yards in each of his first two games on the season, the senior will graduate ranked second in team history with 21 touchdown catches and third in career receiving yards (2,336).
Parisi made 17 point-after touchdowns in 2018, kicking nine field goals on the season. Against Stonehill in his team’s season-opening contest on Sept. 8, Parisi made four field goals, including three in overtime. He made a 45-yard (career long), 42-yard and 19-yard field goal in overtime, helping his team stretch its program-record overtime game to three stanzas. He will depart with 14 made field goals, the fourth-most all-time, and a .899 career point-after percentage.
Hill and Parisi were each named to the Northeast-10 Conference’s Third Team All-League squads. Parisi was also named to the Fred Mitchell Award Watch List in mid-October.
