UNH will be without Lacey

The University of New Hampshire could be without one of it’s defensive leader for the next month. Safety Pop Lacey was scheduled to have surgery on Monday after injuring his foot in practice last week. He did not play in Saturday’s 20-14 victory at Stony Brook

“Hopefully it’s only about 3-4 weeks,” UNH interim head coach Ricky Santos said. “Hopefully he’ll be able to return by the end of the year.”

Lacey leads UNH in tackles per game. Redshirt freshman Max Oxendine, started in place of Lacey on Saturday — his first career start — and had a team-high 11 tackles.
