South, Trinity post victories

Results from Wednesday night’s NHIAA football games …

Nashua South 27, Nashua North 13

Sophomore Josh Compoh scored three touchdowns, including two in the fourth quarter, to help Nashua South (7-4) extend its winning streak over Nashua North on Thanksgiving Eve to four games.

North’s Devin Bracetty scored on a 4 yard run to tie the game with 11:58 to play, but the Panthers responded with a 78-yard drive, capped by Compoh’s 30-yard touchdown run. Compoh’s third TD came in the game’s final minute and capped the scoring.

The Panthers jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the first quarter. Compoh opened the scoring with a 1-yard run that helped South take a 7-0 lead, and Zakary Hureau added a 6-yard TD run with 6:32 remaining in the quarter.

The Titans (9-2) answered when quarterback Sam Nicholls connected with Lucas Cunningham for a 15-yard touchdown pass to make it 13-7 at halftime.

Compoh’s final TD came from 46 yards away.

South leads the Thanksgiving Series 12-4.

Trinity 35, St. Thomas 14

Trinity, which beat Lebanon for the Division III championship on Sunday, also received 84 yards rushing and two TDs from quarterback Peter Alisandro, and 85 yards on 15 carries from John Thibault.
St. Thomas quarterback Cam Paquette completed 17 of 34 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns. Adam Stewart had 11 catches for 111 yards and two TDs.
Trinity finished its season with an 11-1 record. St. Thomas ended its season at 5-5.
