Central blanks Memorial

Manchester Central scored a touchdown in each half and posted a 14-0 victory over city rival Manchester Memorial on Thursday at Gill Stadium.

The Little Green opened the scoring on a 36-yard touchdown run from Jaylen Burris and added a 17-yard TD run from quarterback Joshua Jerome with 4:20 left in the third quarter.

It was the fourth consecutive Turkey Bowl victory for Central, which beat Memorial 42-15 during the regular season. The Little Green (4-6) won three of its final four games this season.

Memorial (1-9) opened its season with a victory over Timberlane, but lost nine straight after that.
