BG’s Moses headed to Bridgton

Bishop Guertin quarterback Hayden Moses will continue his football career by attending Bridgton (Maine) Academy next season.
The Bridgton Academy team includes only post-graduates and is one of the most competitive prep school programs in the Northeast. Bridgton coach Rick Marcella was formerly the head coach at the New Hampton School.
Moses started five games for BG as a junior, but missed his senior season after sustaining a knee injury during the Queen City Jamboree. Despite not playing as a senior, Moses was one of two quarterbacks selected to the New Hampshire roster for this year’s Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl, which will be played Aug. 1 at Castleton (Vt.) University. Bishop Brady’s Patrick Brust was the other quarterback selected.
“I was told (Moses) is ready to go following the injury,” New Hampshire Shrine coach Tarek Rothe (Alvirne) said. “He’ll be a good fit for us, especially since we play to run some read-option.”
