No. 6: Milford 14, Pelham 13 (OT)

Another Division II game, and another game decided by a two-point conversion attempt in overtime.

Pelham’s attempt to win this game was thwarted when Milford sophomore Logan Barnhill came up with an interception in OT that sealed a come-from-behind 14-13 win for the Spartans.

Barnhill also had a fumble recovery in the fourth quarter.

Milford outgained Pelham 272-119, but mistakes and penalties prevented the Spartans from pulling away.

Pelham opened the scoring when Charlie Katin recovered a fumble on the third play of the game and Matthew Muise dove into the end zone from 3 yards away three plays later.

Milford quarterback Gavin Urda was held to 34 yards rushing and 49 yards passing on four completions (one interception), but helped the Spartans put together a 72-yard scoring drive in the second half. Urda capped the drive with a 5-yard TD run.

Milford scored in overtime when Sean Hanrahan found the end zone from a yard away. The PAT handed the Spartans a 14-7 lead. Pelham answered with a 10-yard scoring pass from Ian Hoey to Colby Travis, but Barnhill’s interception prevented a second overtime.
