Helmet Stickers: Week 9

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Riley Lawhorn (Souhegan)

Lawhorn, a senior running back/linebacker, rushed for 198 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries to help Souhegan defeat Plymouth, 26-21, in Saturday’s Division II championship game. Plymouth led 21-20 until Lawhorn capped the scoring on a 70-yard run with 4:01 to play. He also scored on a 68-yard run.

Note: For being selected as the New Hampshire Football Report Player of the Week, Lawhorn will receive a $25 gift card from Subway courtesy of MG Sports. The Player of the Week will be selected from the list of Helmet Sticker nominees each week.

WEEK 9

Joe D’Ambruoso (Plymouth)
D’Ambruoso, a senior running back/linebacker, intercepted two passes and ran for 50 yards and a touchdown on 10 rushing attempts in Plymouth’s loss to Souhegan. His TD came on a 5-yard run.

Defensive Line (Nashua North)
• 
The Titans recorded three sacks in the Division I championship game. Max Ackerman, Spencer Whiting, Toby Brown Jr. and Travis Holbrook put pressure on Goffstown quarterback Jarrett Henault throughout the contest.

Jayden Espinal (Nashua North)
Espinal, a senior running back/defensive back, scored twice to help North defeat Goffstown. He returned a fumble 29 yards for a touchdown and had a 6-yard TD run.

Curtis Harris-Lopez (Nashua North)
• 
Harris-Lopez, a senior running back/safety, ran for a team-high 118 yards and three touchdowns in North’s 49-21 triumph over Goffstown. He scored on a 47-yard interception return and runs of 63 and 2 yards.

Jeremy Henault (Goffstown)
Henault, a senior split end/defensive back, hauled in two touchdown passes in Goffstown’s loss in the Division I championship game. He caught a 55-yard TD pass in the second quarter and and a 45-yard TD pass in the third. Both passes were thrown by his brother, Jarrett.

Luke Manning (Souhegan)
• 
Manning, a split end/defensive back, caught five passes for 57 yards and a touchdown in Souhegan’s triumph over Plymouth in the Division II title game.

Zach Picard (Goffstown)
Picard, a senior running back/linebacker, gained a game-high 124 yards on 24 rushing attempts in Goffstown’s loss to Nashua North.

Issac Smith (Nashua North)
Smith, a junior running back, scored two touchdowns in North’s 49-21 victory over Goffstown. He returned a kickoff 66-yards for a TD in the second quarter, and added a 9-yard TD run on North’s first possession in the second half.
