Lauderdale headed to CFL

The Canadian Football League’s Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed offensive tackle Andrew Lauderdale, a former Concord resident who played at Trinity High School and the University of New Hampshire.

Lauderdale (6-foot-6, 291-pounds) joins the Roughriders after two seasons in the NFL. He initially signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2017 and went on to spend time on the San Francisco 49ers and Buffalo Bills practice rosters.

Lauderdale appeared in 42 games and made 22 starts over five years at UNH. As a senior in 2016 he started 13 games at left tackle, earning Third-Team All-CAA honors, and helped the offense average 181.2 rushing yards per game and 4.6 yards per rush. Lauderdale moved from tight end to offensive lineman as a sophomore and appeared in all 14 games.

Lauderdale also played basketball and threw shot put at Trinity.
