Moody, Plymouth State earn first win

DANBURY, Conn. – Senior Manny Sanchez (Hartford, Conn.) ran for 136 yards and classmate Gavin Moody (Concord, N.H.) scored the game-winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter as Plymouth State University played spoiler to Western Connecticut State University’s Homecoming game, 16-13, in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) football game at the Westside Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon.
Dartmouth 24, Yale 17
HANOVER — Senior Connor Davis converted a 32-yard field goal with 13 seconds remaining in regulation, allowing Dartmouth to fend off Yale in overtime, 24-17, in front of 10,079 homecoming fans at Memorial Field on Saturday afternoon. Junior Nick Howard barreled into the end zone from 7 yards out in the extra period, and the Bulldogs failed to convert on fourth-and-1, keeping the Big Green (4-0, 2-0 Ivy) perfect on the season while topping Yale (2-2, 1-1 Ivy) for the eighth time in the last nine meetings.
