New Hampshire Football Report

Team of the Week: Milford

Milford Spartans

Third-seeded Milford extended its season by beating second-seeded Lebanon 24-14 in Saturday’s Division II semifinals. Milford was the only lower-seeded team to prevail in any of Saturday’s six playoff games.

Milford’s touchdowns came from Logan Barnhill (45-yard run), Kaleb Francoeur (interception return) and Chris Cotsifas (8-yard run). The Spartans also received a 32-yard field goal from Colin Gregg.

Milford had 263 yards rushing in the win, and held previously unbeaten Lebanon to 120.

The victory earned Milford (8-2) a spot in Saturday’s Division II championship game against top-seeded Timberlane (11-0). The Spartans will be seeking their first championship since 2003, when they beat Monadnock in the Division IV championship game.
