NHIAA games begin in August

Here’s some good news for those who can’t wait for the NHIAA football season to begin: The regular season will start a day earlier than expected.

While most NHIAA teams will kick off their season on Sept. 1, there will be two Division I games played on Aug. 31. Windham will travel to Pinkerton (6 p.m.) and Timberlane will play at Exeter (7 p.m.).

In both cases at least one of the schools involved in the game does not have school on Sept. 1.
