Helmet Stickers: Week 3

WEEK 3

Defense (Souhegan)
The Sabers held Manchester West to 5 yards rushing on 33 attempts in a 53-0 win. Souhegan has surrendered 180 total yards in three games and has yet to allow a point.

Brody Helton (Bedford)
Helton carried the ball 12 times for 173 yards and two TDs in a 35-0 win against Keene.

Brayden Hickman (Souhegan)
Hickman, a junior tight end/defensive end, caught three passes for 56 yards and a touchdown in Souhegan’s 53-0 victory over Manchester West. He also recorded seven tackles (two sacks).

Austin Ingersol (Sanborn)
Ingersol ran for 122 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries in a 15-9 loss to St. Thomas.

Mason Nichols (Hillsboro-Deering/Hopkinton)
Nichols rushed for 195 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries in a 31-8 loss to Pembroke Academy. He also caught a 10-yard pass and ran in a two-point conversion. Nichols had a big game on defense as well with four tackles (three sacks).

Thomas Rees (Somersworth)
Rees turned in a strong two-way effort in a 50-0 triumph over Mascoma. He had three tackles, one hurry, and a forced fumble on defense, and caught a pair of two-point conversion passes from his tight end position.

Tayshawn Sheppard (Somersworth)
Sheppard, a senior captain, ran for 206 yards and four touchdowns in a 50-0 victory over Mascoma.

Tyler Walcott (Kennett)
Walcott rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries, and caught four passes for 74 yards and a TD in a 20-10 victory against Laconia.

Jack Welch (Somersworth)
Welch led Somersworth’s defensive effort in a 50-0 win against Mascoma. He recorded four tackles for loss, had two hurries and forced a fumble.

Seth Worrell (Somersworth)
Worrell did a little bit of everything for the Hilltoppers during their 50-0 win against Macoma. He had a 20-yard punt return and recovered a kickoff inside the 20-yard line, both of which set up Somersworth touchdowns. He also had a 10-yard TD run and a 19-yard TD reception. On defense he made a hit that jarred the ball loose and led to a Somersworth interception.

Zach Wyborney (Souhegan)
Wyborney, a senior defensive lineman, had a team-high eight tackles (two tackles for loss) in a 53-0 victory over Manchester West.
