HANOVER – The Ivy League revealed the results of its football preseason poll Monday with Dartmouth expected to finish in fourth place.
Last year, the Big Green was selected to finish sixth but won its 21st title and shared the championship with Harvard and Yale. Dartmouth finished with a 6-4 record overall and a 5-2 mark in the league.
Yale, the 2022 Ivy League champion, received six first-place votes and claimed the number one spot with 114 points. Harvard garnered 108 points with seven first-place votes and came in second.
Penn claimed third with two first-place votes and 88 points. With one first-place vote, Princeton (80) and Dartmouth tied fourth (80), followed by Brown (56), Cornell (26) and Columbia (24).
The Big Green open the 2024 season on Saturday, Sept. 21 at Memorial Field against Fordham. Kick-off will be at 1 p.m and will be streamed on ESPN+.
