Coach’s Comment: After two grueling seasons without a single win, the Newfound Bears are no longer the wide-eyed rookies just trying to survive. They’re battle-tested, hungry, and finally ready to flip the script. With a roster stacked with underclassmen, the Bears endured growing pains — injuries, being undersized, overmatched, and inexperienced. But those losses weren’t wasted. They were lessons. And now, those same players are juniors and seniors hardened by experience and bonded by adversity. Losing only two seniors from last year and having only four seniors on this year’s roster, the Bears are poised to make a statement in Division IV this season and beyond. The coaches brought in a fresh philosophy on both offense and defense and the Bears are looking at a hefty roster of 34-36 players. The Bears will be looking for their first win in two years, with their sights set on making a playoff run.”
