Yukica Watch List released

The Joe Yukica New Hampshire Chapter of the National Football Foundation announced Thursday its Watch List for the third annual Yukica Player of the Year Award.

The Yukica Player of the Year Award represents the best NHIAA football player in the state each season, regardless of class or division. The award is determined by a vote taken by coaches and media members. Souhegan’s JJ Bright won the inaugural award in 2023, and Campbell’s Scott Hershberger was last year’s winner.

The 2025 Watch List:

  • James Caruso, OL/DL, Pinkerton
  • Adrian Cruz, RB/LB, Londonderry
  • Michael Fiengo, QB/DB, Souhegan
  • Connor Flaherty, OT/DL, Bedford
  • Brody Helton, RB/LB, Bedford
  • Cody Jackson, QB, Nashua South
  • Mike Landmesser, RB/DB, Alvirne
  • Sam Levine, RB, Nashua South
  • Bennett Matthews, QB/S, Bedford
  • Aiden McDonald, QB, Pinkerton
  • Michael Santosuosso, WR, Timberlane
  • Oliver Service, QB, Trinity
  • Brody Smith, WR/DB, Souhegan

The 10 semifinalists will be announced on Nov. 6, and that list will be trimmed to three finalists on Nov. 20. This year’s winner will be announced on Nov. 27.

NOTE: The watch list was created to help promote the Yukica Player of the Year Award. The winner does not have to be a player on this list.
