Plymouth State players honored

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Freshman Jayden Graham (Rutland, Vt.) and sophomore Ben Brown (York, Maine) each earned recognition from the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) with selections to the Weekly Honor Roll, the league announced Monday.

Graham ran for a career-high 121 yards and a touchdown as Plymouth State shut out Dean, 34-0, on Saturday. He averaged 7.6 yards per carry, surpassing the 100-yard mark for the first time. His 28-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter extended the Panthers’ lead to 27-0.

Brown recorded eight tackles and added an interception in the win. He made three stops in the first quarter, then came up with tackles on three straight plays to halt a Dean drive late in the second. In the third quarter, Brown elevated to haul in a deep pass at PSU’s 15-yard line, ending another Bulldog possession.

Plymouth State remains unbeaten through its first five games (5-0, 4-0 MASCAC), matching its best start since the 2007 team opened 6-0. The shutout was PSU’s first since a 35-0 win over Worcester State in 2023.

The Panthers are off this week before returning to action Oct. 18 for a home matchup with Anna Maria. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
