Shrine coaches announced

As New Hampshire Football Report reported last week, Franklin’s Tim Snow will serve as New Hampshire’s head coach for the 73rd Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl, which will be played Aug. 1 (11:30 a.m.) at Vermont State -Castleton’s Dave Wolk Stadium.

Ethan Curtis of Essex High School will be Vermont’s head coach. The Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl Board of Governors made the official announcement Tuesday.

Snow has been the head coach at Franklin High School for the past five years, but resigned following the 2025 season. He was also the offensive coordinator at Winnisquam High School for 12 years, and helped the Bears win back-to-back state championships in 2017  and 2018.

Snow was an assistant coach for New Hampshire in the 2018 and 2024 Shrine Maple Sugar Bowls.

“I cannot wait to get started,” Snow said. “I could not be prouder to be
appointed as head coach for the 2026 Shrine game. This is an honor that I have wanted to experience for several years and I am thankful for the opportunity

Curtis graduated from Essex High School in 2010 and played at Vermont State-Castleton.

“Coaching in the Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl is far more than a football opportunity—it’s a chance to give back to children and families who need support, hope, and strength,” Curtis said. “It means using the game I
love to help fuel a mission larger than myself, standing alongside a community dedicated to care and compassion. Being part of Shrine is an honor, a responsibility, and a reminder that football can change lives well beyond the field.”
