The New Hampshire and Vermont Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl teams reported to Vermont State-Castleton on Sunday and began preparing for this year’s game, which will be played Aug. 1 (11:30 kickoff). New Hampshire held two practices in “uppers” Sunday. “The coaches are trying to sort out who is going to play where,” New Hampshire head coach Tim Snow said. “Ninety percent of the guys will play one way, but we’ll have packages for certain guys. We have some really good running backs and our line is stout on both sides of the ball.” … Snow said one player who impressed him Sunday is Kingswood’s Serafin Agramonte, who will likely start in the defensive backfield and play some receiver. “He’s a difference-maker,” Snow said. … New Hampshire also has an outstanding kicker in Gavin Ford from Hillsboro-Deering. … Vermont has won the last three games, but New Hampshire leads the all-time series 50-19-2. … Ethan Curtis of Essex will serve as Vermont’s head coach. “We know his Essex team ran the spread and they have a left-handed quarterback (Sam Bent), but for the most part it’s getting our team ready,” Snow said. … Snow said Colin Myers (Mascoma) and Jacob Eli Henry (Manchester West) are penciled in to start at defensive end.
