New Hampshire held three practices Monday in preparation for Saturday’s Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl, which will be played at Vermont State-Castleton (11:30 a.m.). The only bad news is the team lost Pinkerton Academy defensive back Brady Normyle to an injury. “He has an injury and didn’t want to aggravate it because he’s playing in college,” New Hampshire coach Tim Snow said. “We had three really good practices. We’re way ahead of where I thought we’d be. We’re tracking a full day ahead with installations.” … New Hampshire will run primarily the “Power Pistol” when it’s on offense in Saturday game. “I’m familiar with it and it’s an easy offense to install in a short period of time because the blocking scheme is not complicated,” Snow said. …  Maple Sugar Bowl media day will take place Tuesday. … Vermont has won the last three games, but New Hampshire leads the all-time series 50-19-2. … Snow said Nashua North quarterback Harrison Joshi and Franklin defensive end George Sarkis were among the players who stood out during Monday’s practices. “On that side of the ball Joshi has really taken a leadership role,” Snow said. … New Hampshire is scheduled to practice twice Tuesday, weather permitting. … Tickets for this year’s game can be purchased online: Shrine Tickets.
