New Hampshire’s roster for Saturday’s Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl was thinned to 33 players when three players left the team Tuesday. Nashua South’s Ray Karuru (ankle), Manchester West’s Jacob Eli Henry (knee) and Concord’s Tim Fahnbulleh will not play Saturday. Opening kickoff at Vermont State-Castleton is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Karuru and Eli Henry were both slotted to start on the defensive line. “It’s gonna give some other guys some opportunities,” New Hampshire coach Tim Snow said. … Brady Minckler (Newport), George Sarkis (Franklin) and Patrick Deely (Alvirne) are among those who will likely have a larger role on the defensive line. “I know they have good players too, but we should still be able to pressure them,” Snow said. … Kobie Raisanen Andino (Nashua North) and Grayson Boxer (ILMA) will share time at center for New Hampshire, which practiced twice Tuesday despite steady rain. … Each team has two players per room at Castleton. Snow said he organized the room assignments, and didn’t want players who knew each other as roommates. “I didn’t want people who had played together or against one another,” he said. “I did all of the room assignments.” … New Hampshire leads the series against Vermont 50-19-2.
