Dartmouth remains unbeaten

HANOVER — Sophomore quarterback Grayson Saunier ran in both of Dartmouth’s touchdowns, including what proved to be the game-winner with 5:13 remaining, as the Big Green football team improved to 5-0 with a hard-fought 20-16 win over Central Connecticut State on Saturday afternoon at Buddy Teevens Stadium at Memorial Field. On their ensuing possession, the Blue Devils drove to the Dartmouth 6-yard line, but Dartmouth’s defense stood tall to force a turnover on downs, securing the victory.


GAME STATISTICS


With the win, the Big Green improved to 3-0 at home for the first time since 2019 and wrapped up a perfect nonleague record for the time since 2021. CCSU fell to 3-4, but two of those losses have come against FBS opponents, one by four points to UMass.

PLYMOUTH STATE 21, CASTLETON 6

CASTLETON, Vt. – Plymouth State University used a pair of big gains to score on three of its first four possessions and topple Vermont State University Castleton, 21-6, in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) football game at Dave Wolk Stadium on Saturday, securing long-time head coach Paul Castonia‘s 100th career win in the process.

Plymouth State jumps to 2-3 (2-3 MASCAC), while the Spartans dip to 3-3 (2-3 MASCAC).

FRANKLIN PIERCE 55, POST 20

RINDGE — Franklin Pierce delivered a record-breaking performance in a 55-20 triumph over Post University on Saturday, socring the most points in program history in a 55-20 victory. The Ravens piled up up 433 total yards of offense.


GAME STATISTICS


The victory raised Franklin Pierce’s record to 3-3 overall and 3-1 in the Northeast 10. Post dropped to 1-6 overall and 0-5 in the conference.  

SAINT ANSELM 20, ASSUMPTION 14

MANCHESTER – Fifth-year senior Blaine Burkhalter caught two touchdown passes and the Saint Anselm College football team came back to defeat Assumption in overtime on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 20-14.


GAME STATISTICS


Freshman Jake Croce rushed in the game-winning touchdown from 1 yard out to give the Hawks their fourth victory of the season. With the win, Saint Anselm is now in second place in the Northeast-10 Conference standings with three games remaining.
