CHICAGO – Neil O’Connor (Leominster, Mass.), a senior wide receiver for the University of New Hampshire football team, has been named to the STATS FCS Preseason All-America First Team. O’Connor was previously selected to the HERO Sports Preseason All-America First Team and All-CAA Preseason Team.
In 2017, O’Connor was named to five All-America teams following a junior season in which he ranked No. 1 in the CAA and third nationally in receptions (97) and also paced the conference in receptions/game (6.9), receiving yards (1,396), receiving yards/game (99.7) and TD receptions (10). The 97 catches were the second-most in a UNH season (R.J. Harris, 100, 2014) and his 1,369 receiving yards ranked No. 4 in program single-season history, 155 yards shy of all-time co-leaders Harris (2014) and David Ball (2005).
