UNH adds to coaching staff

DURHAM – The University of New Hampshire football program announced the hiring of Nyeem Wartman-White as its new defensive line coach.

Wartman-White, a former standout linebacker at Penn State University from 2012-16, spent the 2018 and 2019 seasons as a defensive graduate assistant at Mississippi State for head coach Joe Moorhead.

During his playing days with the Nittany Lions, Wartman-White was a Butkus Award Preseason Watch List as a senior (2016), made a career- and team-high 11 tackles in the 2014 New Era Pinstripe Bowl victory against Boston College at Yankee Stadium, earned 2013 Academic All-Big Ten honors and was one of only six true freshmen to see game action in 2012.

In 2019, UNH posted a winning record for the 15th time in 16 seasons, including a perfect 5-0 mark at Wildcat Stadium with two wins against ranked opponents.
