UNH receives Top 25 votes

RICHMOND, Va. – Four CAA Football teams were ranked and three more received votes in the 2022 Stats Perform FCS Top 25 poll that was released on Monday.

Villanova remained at #6 in the rankings, while Delaware vaulted nine spots to No. 10 after knocking off FBS opponent Navy. Following its victory against FBS foe Charlotte, William & Mary moved into the poll at No. 20 and Rhode Island maintained its spot at No. 22. Richmond, New Hampshire and Elon were among other teams receiving votes.

Villanova (1-0), which rolled over Lehigh, 45-17, last Friday, visits LIU this weekend. Delaware (1-0), which earned its first FBS win since 2007 with a 14-7 triumph over Navy, hosts in-state rival Delaware State on Saturday. William & Mary (1-0), which defeated Charlotte, 41-24, for its first FBS victory since 2009, hosts Campbell on Saturday. Rhode Island (1-0), which topped league foe Stony Brook, 35-14, makes the short trip to Bryant on Saturday.

When including the three squads that received votes, CAA Football’s seven teams in the poll were tied with the Missouri Valley for the most of any conference.
