Team of the Week: Fall Mountain

Fall Mountain Wildcats

Fall Mountain stretched its winning streak to five games and moved closer to securing a Division III playoff spot by beating Stevens 27-16 Friday night.

Quarterback Eric Franklin Jr. passed for 114 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. Fall Mountain also received 117 yards of total offense and two rushing TDs from Owen Riendeau.

Franklin tossed a 32-yard TD pass to Pat Connors in the first quarter, and connected  with Tyson Patch for a 15-yard TD pass in the third. Patch finished the game with 46 receiving yards.

Riendeau scored from 31 yards away on Fall Mountain’s first play from scrimmage. His seccond TD cam on a 3-yard run in the third and was set up by a Patch interception.

The Wildcats (5-1) have allowed 34 points during their five-game winning streak. Charlie Dussault, Evan West, Finnegan Brodeur and Brandon Bator were among the team’s defensive standouts against Stevens.
