Shrine Practice: Day 4

New Hampshire coach Josh White said Wednesday was his team’s longest day of preparation for Saturday’s 71st Annual Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl, which will be played at Vermont State-Castleton (11:30 a.m.). “Practice, team meetings, coaches meetings — we went late into the night,” White said. “Just trying to finalize stuff like who’s on the field in certain situations. I don’t want game-day stuff to creep up on us without being prepared.” …  White said he will call the offensive plays Saturday. His New Hampshire staff includes Lauren Gaudette (Windham), John Trisciani (Pelham), Tim Snow (Franklin), James Roy (Franklin), Colin McQueen (Amesburry) and Kevin Donovan (Amesbury). … New Hampshire’s Bobby Kinsella (Trinity) and Vermont’s Jaquan Johnson-Deering (Spaulding) will be teammates (and roommates) at Castleton. … New Hampshire is expected to announce its team captains Thursday. … “We have a depth chart right now, but that is not necessarily the depth chart for the game,” White said. “These kids are consistently proving themselves.” …  Tickets for Saturday’s game are $12 (ages 5 and under are free) and can be purchased through the Shrine Football Office by calling (603) 448-1042.
