Division IV teams play dating game

Bishop Brady’s inability to field a varsity team this season left Division IV teams with two bye weeks and a six-game schedule. Fortunately, most of those teams have been able to add a game the weekend they were scheduled to play Bishop Brady.

Because there are fewer than eight teams in Division IV this season — Bishop Brady’s departure left Division IV with seven teams —  teams are allowed to play each other twice during the regular season. Farmington-Nute will play Winnisquam twice and Franklin will play Newfound twice.

Hillsboro-Deering filled its second bye week by scheduling a game against Division III Somersworth.

Mascoma Valley and Raymond, teams that met last Friday, both have an open date the weekend of Oct. 24-25. A second matchup between those teams would make sense, but that game has not been scheduled.
