A 90-yard touchdown run by Gilford’s Lukas Diaz made it a 6-6 game early in the second quarter, and the scored remained unchanged until the third.

Gilford took the lead (8-2) on a 3-yard pass from quarterback Mark Uicker to Henry Sleeper on a fourth-down play to cap the first drive of the second half, and stretched its lead to 19-6 thanks to Liam Butler’s 20-yard TD run.

After top-seeded Monadnock (10-1) made it 19-13 on Koby Kidney’s 82-yard kickoff return, Gilford answered with a 20-yard TD pass from Uicker to Lucas Raleigh that extended Gilford’s advantage to 26-13. Uicker completed 10-of-17 passes for 148 yards in the victory, which earned Gilford a matchup with Laconia in Saturday’s Division III championship game.

Monadnock running back Nick Ball opened the game’s scoring on a 1-yard TD run. Ball had 102 yards rushing in the first quarter, but finished the game with 114 yards on 25 carries.
